What do you do?

At TAABG — The Awkward Autistic Black Girl — we believe that community is everything. We are committed to creating spaces where autistic Black girls and women can feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Through our outreach initiatives, we provide resources, education, and opportunities that foster connection, growth, and empowerment.

What We Do

  • Workshops & Mentorship: Virtual and in-person workshops covering self-advocacy, sensory wellness, career development, and social skills — all tailored to the experiences of autistic Black girls and women.

  • Resource Sharing: Curated guides, toolkits, and access to trusted organizations to help navigate daily life, education, and healthcare.

  • Collaborations & Partnerships: Working with schools, community centers, and other nonprofits to raise awareness, provide training, and create inclusive spaces for autistic individuals.

  • Events & Social Spaces: Online meetups and local gatherings offering safe spaces for connection, friendship, and celebration of neurodiversity.

Get Involved

Whether you’re looking to volunteer, collaborate, or learn more, there are many ways to participate:

  • Volunteer with TAABG: Help organize events, mentor young autistic girls, or contribute your skills to our programs.

  • Partner with Us: Schools, organizations, and businesses can collaborate to promote inclusivity and support for autistic Black girls and women.

  • Support Our Work: Donations help maintain free and low-cost programming, create new resources, and expand outreach efforts.
